Invitation Cards
The Invitation Card is always the first impression for the quests, displaying the style and status of the wedding, so a best practise would be to coincide with the couple's personality.
There are many types of Invitation Cards but the most classic ones are those who invite parents and just married couple.
If the Invitation is formal it would be more elegant to use replying cards so that people invited can reply to the marrying couple there intention of being or not to the happy event.
Invitation Cards should be delivered at least one month before the happy event.
In cases that a wedding is taking place on an island or a suburban town the invitations should be delivered earlier in order to give the quests more time for scheduling their travel details.
In such a case the couple could send a Save the Date card before the Invitation Card informing the guests about the date and location of the wedding.
Invitation cards delivery time depends on the construction difficulty level but a most common time period is twenty days.
The amount of the invitation cards that you should create must be nearly up to the 3/4 of the guest list total as most of them are couples and families. Nevertheless, do not hesitate to get some extra cards for any guests missing your initial planning.
In the cases that a party is given after the wedding, it should be written on the invitation card asking the guests to reply in a predefined time period which more often is ten to fifteen days before the wedding date.
If the location that the party is taking place is hard to be found, a printed map on the invitation card would be very useful for the guests.
The same issues should be taken into consideration by the parents in the case of baptism as well.

Bobonieres
Bombonieres is a kind of present that the couple offers to the guests in order to thank them for the honour to be present to the most happy event of their lives.
The style of the bombonieres is recommended to suit the invitation cards' colour and theme.
The quantity is a proportion of the total number of the guests and some extra should always be kept for "safety" reasons.
The order should be done at least one month before the wedding or baptism.
Bombonieres are delivered after the wedding, outside the church or are part of the table decoration at the party place in the case that everyone is invited.
If the baptism is not accompanied with a party, small sweets would be very elegant to be offered to the guests.
It is very common nowadays to have separate bombonieres for children and parents or even have only children bombonieres for everybody giving a humorous sense to the event.
